Three referral pathways
Our consultant psychiatrists cover a broad range of presentations across age groups. Please note the appropriate pathway on your referral so we can allocate to the right psychiatrist.
General adult psychiatry
with Dr Akhtar and Dr Dessai
Comprehensive assessment and treatment for mood, anxiety, psychosis, personality, ADHD, substance misuse and adult eating disorders. Multilingual care available (Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Marathi, Konkani, Portuguese).
Child, adolescent & youth psychiatry
with Dr Rajesh Harjai
Telehealth ASD and ADHD assessments for young people aged 5–20. Formally trained in ADOS-2, MIGDAS-2 and ADI-R diagnostic tools. Family-centred, collaborative with schools where appropriate.
Treatment-resistant depression
with Dr Ashutosh Dessai
Specialist assessment for patients whose depression has not responded to standard treatment. Coordination of TMS and Esketamine referrals to specialist treatment centres with ongoing psychiatric oversight via telehealth.

Referrals can be sent via Medical-Objects, Argus, HealthLink, or ReferralNet. Alternatively, you can fax or email the referral directly.
